EcoGrid E50

Heavy-duty, straight-line traffic

Most EcoGrid installations need some ground preparation, but requirements vary by project — our team can advise on what's needed for your specific site.

Yes — many of our grids work with more than one finish, so you can vary the look across a single project if you need to.

Think of it as a starting point, not the final word. If anything about your project is unusual — tight access, very heavy or unusual loads, sensitive ground — talk to our team and we'll confirm the right specification before you order.

Still not sure?

Every project is different, and sometimes it’s easier to just ask. Our technical team can talk you through ground conditions, drainage, traffic loads and finish options — no pressure, no obligation

Which EcoGrid System Is Right for You?

Our grid selector matches you to the right system in three questions, but if you’d rather browse first, here’s a quick guide to which EcoGrid grid suits which project.

Domestic driveways and paths

For a home driveway, front garden path or side access, the EcoGrid E40 is our most popular all-rounder — strong enough for cars and light traffic while staying permeable. For patios, walkways and purely pedestrian areas, the EcoGrid E30 is a lighter-duty option with a more refined finish.

Car parks and access roads

Staff and customer car parks, overflow parking and site access routes need a grid that can take repeated vehicle movement without rutting. The EcoGrid E40 is built for exactly this, and where ground movement is a concern, the EcoGrid S50 flexes with the ground while keeping the surface stable.

HGV yards, lorry parks and loading bays

Heavy vehicle areas need serious load capacity. The EcoGrid E80 is rated for up to 800 tonnes per square metre and is our go-to for lorry parks, yards and logistics sites, while the EcoGrid E50 offers near-indestructible durability for the most demanding heavy-duty use.

Equestrian arenas and paddocks

Riding arenas, paddocks and horse walkers need a surface that stays stable underfoot without becoming abrasive. The EcoGrid TR/TP40 is purpose-built for equestrian use, giving horses safe, consistent footing in all weather.

Large areas and fast installation

For big surfaces where installation speed and labour cost matter most, the EcoGrid XXL uses larger cells to cover expansive areas faster — ideal for large events sites, campsites and bigger commercial schemes. For projects with limited digout depth, the EcoGrid X30 needs minimal excavation.
